Pleasantly surprised, that is the only way to descri be this book. I was up until the wee hours of the morning reading and crying and laughing and being down right mad at Ben. I absolutely love childhood romances and long lost love stories. And this, is definitely one of those.
The relationship between Ben and Dylan was so innocent and sweet. He kept his feelings for her a secret or so he thought. I can hardly explain my frustration I felt for all the years that they let slip by them out of sheer stupidity.
Dylan was such a feisty girl but had such a soft spot for Ben that wouldn't allow her to give up on him. She waited for years for her dream to come true and for Ben to stay all night.
Ben was the elusive "Player" who was the love em and leave em type and was misguided by his parent's. The dynamics between him and his mother were horrible. She used him to find out about his father but then blamed him of being like his father and being incapable of true love. His father was busy with his "other" life and showed no interest in Ben.
Little painted arrows are the way to her true love.
I do have to say I absolutely adored how all of the brothers rallied and took care of Dylan. Even Ollie was there for her.
This is definitely a book to read if your looking for a HEA and some good ol fashioned laughs and a little heartache as well. ~~Cathy~~
