This book picks right up where "Take My Hand" leaves off. We see a lot of Dexter
and how he is handling himself and watching Emily try to be there for him. This
was the only part that was kind of hard to get through. I wanted more connection
between Emily and Dexter, but I understand what Dex was going through and that
was where the focus was. I think I just kind of missed that connection between
them. But look out come about 60 percent, because the story picks up and takes
off like leaf in a wind storm! Emily and Dexter have so much to work through and
so much to overcome. You meet Jeff in this book, and he is AMAZING! I think
because I am a social worker, I can relate to him. I have always liked the
edgier social workers, they seem to get through to some more than others! Not so
much Rachel and Jared in this book, but I'm sensing we will get more of them in
book #3!!
I am excited that Emily is so caring, even at the worst of times.
A lot unravels towards the end of this book and I had many *gasp* moments! Now I
am on pins and needles to see where the story continues...because there is soooo
much left unanswered(but it's a good thing...leaves you wanting more!)
