There are a few things I am sure of: The stepfather is a douche bag and his girlfriend needs to have the crap slapped out of her. I was amazed how she actually tried to act like a mother figure. Literally if I could have crawled into the pages, a brawl would have ensued with that woman.
By the end of the book, I was so unsure of myself. I started to question everything I had just read and was looking for indicators that my first assessment of Chase could possibly be wrong. I have a love hate relationship with all of J.C. Reed's books. They suck you in and you read voraciously until you realize your at the end then you know the story is no where near over and your craving more.
